MATERIAL SELECTION

A member of our team will assist you in choosing the proper material for your project. You’ll have the opportunity to browse thousands of materials until you find the right stone and color. TEMPLATING

The second step in the process is to schedule a template appointment once we have a good handle on the size of your project and have gone through the material selection process. During this appointment one of our team member will come to the location and take laser measurements of the installed and level cabinets. The team member is making a digital drawing that we will use to cut the stone to ensure it fits perfectly to your unique layout.

Homeowners can expect the appointment to last approximately 1 – 2 hours, depending on the size of the job and the templater to discuss material selection, finished edge profile, sink type and placement, faucet type and placement, overhangs, backsplash, placement of seams, additional supports (if needed), and any other pertinent details pertaining to the project.

Once the drawing is complete a copy will be sent to the customer to approve. Customers will not be expected to verify the dimensions. We’re just looking for the customer to approve the overall layout and the details associated with the job. After receiving a signed copy of the drawing the project heads into fabrication.

FABRICATION

The third step is the fabrication problem. An experienced fabrication expert will look at the template drawing and plan out how the pieces will be cut out of the slab. Typically we are able to cut a job approximately 3 to 5 business days prior to the installation date. After the job gets cut it gets polished with the finished edge approved at the template appointment. Polishing normally occurs 1-2 days prior to the installation date.

INSTALLATION

After your stone has been cut and polished, our professional installation team will come to install on your scheduled installation date. Installation times typically range from 1 – 4 hours, depending on the project requirements.

During installation homeowners can expect the countertops to be installed, the sink attached to the countertop, shims installed between the cabinet and countertop as needed, silicone applied to secure the countertops and backsplash and a 15-year sealer applied to the countertops. Majestic Stone Imports does not provide plumbing services, so please be sure to coordinate with your plumber ahead of time to do any plumbing hook up after the countertop installation.
